Calicifer wins Group 2nd at Winter International 2025
Proud is an understatement!
This weekend we participated in one of Australias biggest dog shows of the year, the Dogs SA Winter International.
We do our best to attend these shows each year, the atmosphere is lovely and we get to catch up with a lot of interstate malamutes and their breeders!
This year, however, my team blew my socks off! We have sooo much to brag about!
Not one but TWO new title announcements, with both Merlin and Emmett being awarded their 3rd excellent rating and first place from the Junior Class to gain the credentials of
C.I.B-J

The official show results were just as exciting!
Thursday Ricky piloted Emmett to 1/3 in a competitive Australian Bred class and onto RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED
In an entry of 15 malamutes!
Fridays FCI show Calcifer takes 2/6 from a competitive CHAMPION Dog class and onto RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED in an entry of 17 malamutes!
Sunday Ricky again piloted Emmett to 1/2 in the Australian Bred class.
Calcifer pulled out all stops being awarded a very competitive BEST OF BREED in an entry of 16 malamutes, only to go on one better being awarded

Pinch me I'm dreaming! To be awarded so highly at such a prestigious event is always a dream come true.
To do it with a dog we bred, well, there's just nothing like it.
I am speechless but so damn proud I'd scream it from the rooftops if I could.
Most of our weekends will soon be consumed by dog sports for the winter so that is one hell of an incentive to come back on the other side of the working season.

Such a nice weekend of our community coming together and supporting one another, it makes for a really nice change! This weekend will hold its memories in my heart for a long time!
