Our world revolves around them, they are a cherished and vital part of our family who actively compete in sports, daily recreation and conformation showing around the country.”
Committed to the preservation of the Alaskan Malamute in Australia
Match made in heaven
Our puppies are raised in a loving home environment following leading puppy raising protocol, Puppy Culture.
We strive to produce puppies that can thrive in lifestyles suitable to this breed and to place them with families who understand the underlying needs and requirements to enjoy the experience of owning an Alaskan Malamute.
We spend quality time with each individual puppy to best understand who they are and who they are becoming. This leads us through weeks of evaluating their behavior during socialization amongst each other, the other dogs of the household, meeting new people and facing each challenge we throw at them during their time with us.
How they navigate these experiences is what we base our decisions on in the allocation of our puppies.
Ensuring each puppy is a suitable fit for the lifestyle of each family they are being allocated to.
Polarhike Community
Becoming a member of the Polarhike family is for the full course of your dogs life. We like to be as involved as you would like us to be.
We are so thankful to the families who allow us to be involved in the highs and lows of living their lives alongside their new family member.
From training milestones, everyday living experiences to titling our offspring. We value it all.
We are so proud of the owners who go above and beyond to provide biological fulfilment and honor the quality of our dogs in trialing. The families representing our dogs on the working field and also in conformation make the hours of meticulous planning, comprehensive health testing and delicate raising methods worth it!
The puppies in companion homes are just as celebrated. Being stable family pets is a priority of our program.
Our Mission
Health, longevity and honoring the heritage of the Alaskan Malamute is our key focus in our mission as breeders.
Each dog in our breeding program must undergo comprehensive health screening for genetic conditions relevant to our breed to give the highest possible chance of them being as healthy as they are beautiful into maturity.
Responsible breeding should reflect dogs for the entire course of their life.
We are forever aiming to expand our knowledge on any new conditions that may effect this breed. We remain dedicated to getting as much information regarding the health of our puppies as possible.
