The Fruits of Nature

This litter was a pairing between our first bred by bitch, Jaina, and Winter. Giving us 6 beautiful puppies and a 50/50 gender split of 3 girls and 3 boys.
We chose different paths for both sisters breeding careers and we wanted to see what consistencies Winter would produce with similar but different lineage influences.
In our opinions, this litter reflected it’s lineage quite well. We have a lot of influence coming through with the addition of Magoo who has a lot of older pedigrees in Australia behind him.

Most of the puppies in this litter were typical malamute puppies. Bold, active, eager to please. There was one who was very slow to grow up. Peach gave us a lesson in persistence with her desire to be a forever puppy.
Growing to only 3kgs at 8 weeks old, we were very concerned for her future. She was consistently being seen by the team at The Austin Vet Specialist and whilst we never got any formal answers as to why - we did eventually get her back on track!
Peach seemed to suffer from a strong case of anorexia after having a negative reaction to a wormer at 4 weeks old. This was the beginning of a long revision of the wormers we will administer to our puppies in the future.

Peach is a living reminder to never give up on the little ones. We are responsible for every life we bring into this world and while it might be necessary to make the hardest call imaginable for their future quality of life, we must always afford them the chance to fight.
