Malpac My Summer Saviour

WWPDX2*

It’s really hard to find the words to begin an introduction for Moro.
Whilst her litter was not registered in my prefix, she was the product of the first litter i whelped and raised start to finish. Destined to be my foundation bitch for POLARHIKE. That was the beginning of a much larger story.

Moros show career is nothing short of impressive. To truly tally her scores, i would be here for hours. Sadly her prime years were sparce due to the CV19 Pandemic, Moro really never let that dull out her career.
One day I will sit down and at least attach Moros group win details, prestigious wins and of course the details of her ALL BREEDS BEST IN SHOW, but today is not that day.
To sum up her show career quickly is simply impossible. Moro achieved her GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP at just shy of 3 years old even AMONGST the pandemic. She has been highly awarded over strong competition all over Australia with only a small handful of uncontested wins.

A credit to her qualities she has also obtained her INTERNATION CHAMPION (FCI) Being awarded:

Even with all of these incredible achievements in mind, Moros most triumphant moments were outside the show ring.
My passion was always held in the heritage of this working breed - meaning function came before all else.

Moro was always more more than a pretty face, but she really made a statement in the working field. She puts 100% into everything we ask of her and harness work was no exception.
Qualifying for her Working Weight Pull Dog Excellence title in her first 8 events on natural surface, despite having the handicap of travelling 800kms to the event each time. Moros results are nothing short of amazing earning her WWPDX title with the following results:

That’s 16 qualifying pulls! Still to this day she is pulling excellence, not that i am surprised - her excellence was never a secret to us.

Above all else, Moro is one of the biggest joining pieces of our family. She keeps the cogs turning with her endless persistence and contagious wit. Moros day job is far more important than any title achievement, serving as my Psychiatric Assistance Dog. Performing tasks such as Behavior Interruption and Deep Pressure Therapy and alerting me to changes within my body before i am completely aware of them.
Moro lives up to her name in every definition. While this breed is not recommended for this work (By me, or many people i know) She is the diamond in the rough. Even when she is not working, she never misses a beat. This was not a job i had planned for her, but Malamutes are pretty good at finding their own path, she not only found her own path, but she paved it for others while she was at it.

While Moro is gracefully approaching her retirement, she’s proved herself in arguably one of the most important fields of dog breeding, her progeny.
Moro blessed us with one gorgeous litter of 8. So far, 2 of them have gone on to be awarded their Australian Championships, 2 have achieved their WWPDA* in the weight pull field, 3 are showing great promise in the sledding field, 2 have achieved their N.SPRD (SprintDog) and one has gone on to further produce a BISS show winner, 2 Au Champions and the first Alaskan Malamutes of each gender to be awarded their Junior CACIB titles.
Watching Moros progeny and grand progeny be successful in all field has been another dream come true.

She is truly that one in a million dog we all dream of, I feel like the luckiest person alive to walk this path alongside her.
