Polarhike Reasons to Live N.SPRD WWPDA*
Reasan
Reasan is our special girl from the Studio Ghibli litter in 2021.
Special for multiple reasons - the first being she was the ONLY girl in a litter of 8. The second being she would end up being the only bitch we would ever produce from our main lady, Moro.
Reasan is not your typical fanciers bred bitch, she is a very bold statement, but what she lacks in furnishings she makes up for in honest construction, work ethic and temperament. She is a working kennels dream and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be navigating the trails with her alongside her littermates, sire and dam.
Nearly at the end of her first full working season, with some stellar results to show for it.
Obtaining her WWPDA* in her first 6 weight pull events on a natural surface with the following results:

Her first weight pull event in 2024 saw her crowned the AMCV WEIGHT PULL DOG OF THE YEAR 2024 calculated by the highest weight to weight ratio performed that year.
(Malamute specific) after 10 years of participation in this sport, She is the first of our kennel to be awarded this honor.
Reasan continues to be a consistent puller and we are looking forward to developing her further in this discipline. The best is yet to come.
*Pending DogsSA approval
She has also had her turn at a new discipline to Australian dogs - Sprint Dog! earning her first title (Novice Sprint Dog - N.SPRD) in 3 trials with runs of the following:

With a handful entered for the rest of the year, we are eager to see if her name grows by another letter sooner than expected.
Reasan really is developing into a “Jack of all Trades” with her debut in sled dog racing (Dryland) at a prestigious national event, bringing home an award very close to my heart -

Having not focused much training time into dryland lately, we couldn’t be more thrilled to see such natural drive. It seems we are going to have some very full working seasons ahead of us in the future. Who could complain with so much promise sitting right before us.
